Owl pendant

This is a new pendant that I made. I have recently been inspired to make some intricate and hopefully cute animal pendants. I'm now thinking about making a giraffe one. Watch this space.

This pendant was made from aluminium sheet. I drew the design on in marker, then cut with a piercing saw, filed and sanded to finish.

Monkey Pendant

I have just finished making this monkey pendant, I started drawing it out this morning and made it today.

I made it by drawing it onto the aluminium sheet, then cutting it out with a piercing saw, filing and sanding it.

Heart Necklace

Just finished this heart necklace. It is made from aluminium which was cut with a piercing saw, then filed and sanded. It is strung on silver thread. The item is totally handmade and therefore unique.

New experiments with Wire

I am always experimenting with ideas and always wanting to come up with new ideas. I recently have been trying out ideas in wire.

First I shape the wire the way I want it, then I hammer it so that it reflects light and has a good texture. I then cut out my charms (in this case a flower and leaf) which I draw out, cut with a piercing saw, then file and sand to finish. To make the flower I also added fine beading wire and a couple of seed beads to finish.

I am definatly going to experiment more with wire and the charms I make by hand once I've got some more designs worked out.

Pinafore dress

I made this new dress from some nice fabric I saw, it's come out ok (followed a pattern for a change).

Bear

I made my first bear! Not something I've attempted before and it came out ok, looks pretty gd! You never kno I may make a few more!! Does take a bit of time though.

Piggy

I made this papermache pig recently. Made from a balloon, egg boxes and kitchel roll tube. I then covered it in papermache, let it dry and then painted it white. I then decorated it with pens.

Layered flower pendant

This pendant is handmade from layers of aluminium and recycled plastic with a centre bead. The cord is made from silver thread.

Long daisy flower necklace

This necklace was inspired by daisies, one of my fav flowers and I put it all together on some green cord. Each flower is hand cut and painted and all the beads are also hand made.

Necklace just finished

I have just finished this necklace. It is made for either those special occations where you want something a little nicer or with weddings in mind.

I can make items for brides or bridesmaids and am happy to make sets or take commisions and we can design the perfect piece together.

This item is made from hammered wire, aluminium and beads, it is totally handmade and therefor unique. I make each flower by cutting them out with a piercing saw, I hammer the wire myself and finish it all by hand.

Valentines heart necklace

I made this pendant by hand in the UK. The beads and the pendant have been hand shaped from clay and then painted. It is then strung on a cord made from silver thread with a clasp at the top.

You can buy this pendant for valentines day, P&P Free to anywhere in the UK for £25.

Easter chick necklace

I have just made this necklace inspired by the idea of spring and easter. I hand cut the chick from aluminium, then filed and sanded it. I then used a handmade bead on wire as another charm and a hand cut aluminium heart.

New pieces

I have spent the weekend (or at least part of it, did spend some time playing in the snow) making some new pieces of jewellery. I have spent quite of bit of time sketching and drawing out ideas and thinking about making, but not actually getting round to it. But this weekend I made some time and sat down and started making. I did a bit of experimenting and trying out the ideas that I had drawn down.

I am very happy with one of the pieces, which seems to have come out better than I was expecting (nice when that happens). That's this one below.

I started this pendant by curving the wire into the shape I wanted, I then hammered it flat. I also hand cut the flower and heart charms. I then attached all of this to the wire with a few beads. This one was a bit of an experiment, so quite glad it worked out. Have a few more like this planned 2!

The next piece I created was this butterfly cut pendant. I cut out the shape and bent it so that it became 3D. This pendant is made from aluminium which was drilled, cut, filled and sanded to finish.

I then went on to make some more flowers. I made this flower pendant from two hand cut aluminium flowers and put a pearl bead at the centre.

Last, but not least, I made this larger pendant from aluminium, it has a layer of recycled plastic and then another aluminium flower with a bead centre. This is larger and so make a bit more of a statement, but is still subtle in colour.

That sums up my bit of work from this wkend.

New Year!

New year so a new post.

I have got lots of new projects in the pipeline and I will be updating as and when I get them finished. I have just started on a new grey knit top, I have a dress to finish making (need to put a zip in and adjust), just bought some fabric to make a bear (not something Ive tried before) and of course lots of new jewellery ideas and designs to try out.
