Making cards

I always like to have handmade cards ready to send to people when a birthday or event comes up. So I decided to sit down and make some new ones as I am gradually running out of the ones I have made before.

I saw a great card idea, of using paper and sewing it onto card.

So I got going.

I drew out lots of pretty shapes, balloons for the boys and then lots of butterflies and flowers.

They looked quite pretty once I had finished cutting them all out, although my fingers hurt and it took a while!

I then got my sewing machine out and got sewing. I layed out the flowers etc roughly where I wanted them and sewed them on to the cards.

I think the results were quite pretty, I just need to line them to finish them off nicely. :o)

New shoes

I bought some new shoes: flowery brogues! They were too cute, I couldn't resist!

New pendant

I have just finished this new pendant, what do you think?

I have just finished making this new skirt.

Finished off dress

I have just finished off my little summer dress, added buttons and a lining!

Lemon Cakes

I've been making cakes again!

This time I've made lemon cakes, yummy.

I was just showing off my cake stands in these pics!! :) It makes me happy!

Fairies

Just for a bit of fun, I have been playing with the pics I took of the new top I made and I am now a fairy! Or at least I sometimes wish I was.

I love the sparkles I can add to my images and collages on Polyvore too.

Knitted Beret

I have finished knitting my beret and have been wearing it to work this week (is it me or has it turned freezing again!)

Just made a new necklace- daisy chains.

I tried out letter stamping a while back and had not until now made use of it. So I cut out these little flowers from aluminium and made a pretty necklace.

Just a quick update on this necklace (I know- how excitin!!), but I have just added lots of turquoise and pink beads to it and wanted to show it off. Very pleased with it, think it looks pretty. I was unsure if to add beads to it or not, but thought y not go 4 it, so I did. May even add a few more!!

My first earring

I have just finished making this flower stud earring. I have never made an earring like this before, so this is my first.

I made it all from silver. The flower I cut from a sheet of silver, then filed and sanded it to finish. I then cut a piece of wire and soldered this to the back of the flower. I added a little bead to finish.

I am quite pleased with it.

Link chain pendant

I have been working on this necklace for a while now and may yet work on it a bit more (not sure how many charms and beads to add, I didn't want to spoil it).

I have made the links of this pendant from solid silver wire, I hammered some of the links and kept some round. I soldered each link closed- something which took a bit of time- and joined them all together. I made a heart and flower link and also made some charms to add to it.

I am considering adding some beads to it, but not too sure at the moment.

Flower bracelet

Just a quick post. This is a bracelet I have just recently made and one I have been thinking about and planning for some while. I wanted to make a delicate bracelet with lots of pretty flowers.

This is made with wire that I hammered and flowers that I cut out individually by hand, then shaped, filed and added a bead to to finish.

Owl pendant

Recently made this owl pendant.

I cut this all out of aluminium with a piercing saw.

Summer beaded bracelet

On the same theme as the previous bracelet. ...

I wanted something yellowy and summery, so this is what I created.
