New experiments with Wire
First I shape the wire the way I want it, then I hammer it so that it reflects light and has a good texture. I then cut out my charms (in this case a flower and leaf) which I draw out, cut with a piercing saw, then file and sand to finish. To make the flower I also added fine beading wire and a couple of seed beads to finish.

New pieces
Last, but not least, I made this larger pendant from aluminium, it has a layer of recycled plastic and then another aluminium flower with a bead centre. This is larger and so make a bit more of a statement, but is still subtle in colour.
That sums up my bit of work from this wkend.

Wooden necklaces
I made a few different pendants, the material is organic and seems to do its own thing, which is nice in some ways, makes a change from working in metal.
The wood I've used is recycled which is great as I love to make new things out of old and its good for the environment too.
So enough talk- here are the pendants I made.

Making a necklace
I've just made a new necklace and thought i'd say how its done.

How its done:
I began by making a cord, this was done by plaiting thread.

Then I collected together the beads I wanted to use.
Next I had to make the metal charms I wanted to decorate my long necklace with.
To do this I had to design the items on paper
Then I had to cut draw them onto the metal and cut them out with a saw.
Then I filed and sanded them to give them a nice finish. I then threaded them with a bead.
I then decided on the layout of my necklace before knotting and threading the beads.

Jewellery
This item has been hand cut from recycled metals and plastics and then strung on organic hemp.
Shaped flower pendant, strung on organic hemp with a clear bead at the centre.
Daisy pendant
Hand cut flower pendant.
This item was made using a drill and a piercing saw to cut it out and to also cut the shapes into it.
I made this item using a mixture of seed beads and three charms that I cut by hand from recycled metal. I attached them all together with organic hemp.
All of these items are avaliable from my website at
