Flower bracelet

Just a quick post. This is a bracelet I have just recently made and one I have been thinking about and planning for some while. I wanted to make a delicate bracelet with lots of pretty flowers.
This is made with wire that I hammered and flowers that I cut out individually by hand, then shaped, filed and added a bead to to finish.

Pendant From start to finish
This post is to show how I work and how I make a pendant from start to finish.
With all of my jewellery I start off at the designing stage, I tend to have lots of ideas and keep these in a notebook. Sometimes I have an idea and get right on and make it, other times the idea sits untouched for ages and then I come back to it. I have lots of unmade ideas floating about as always!
This shows how I made a layered flower pendant. Once the design was sorted I begin by drawing the shapes I need on to a sheet of aluminium.
I did the same to make a smaller aluminium flower and also cut a middle sized flower from plastic. I also choose a bead that I wanted at the centre.
These are the finished pieces layed out ready to be put together. I then layered these up how I wanted them and glued them together.
Ring
I have been planning on making this ring for quite some while and have now finished it. I have worn it out a few times 2 and lovin it!
I made the ring from an old recycled fork handle and the flower from aluminium sheet and added a pearl bead for the centre.
I can make this item as a pendant or customise one for you, for more info contact me at:

Frog Prince pendant

This is a new pendant that I have just made. It was made from aluminium, cut with a piercing saw.
I love fairytales and the idea of magic and this was my inspiration for this piece. I might move on to castles next!! Or maybe a combination. I also have some little birdies I want to make soon. I'll post more pics as I make them.
If you would like any of these pieces, my pieces range from £40- £50 with Free P&P.
I can also make customised items, so if you have any ideas or know what you would like, let me know. I can also make Brides and bridesmaids jewellery and we can dicuss this in detail if you wish. Contact me at: surfjewels@hotmail.co.uk for more info.

New Necklace
I used lots of beads that I have recently made combined with some grey ribbon and silver cord. I also used a handcut flower that I made from aluminium and then painted.
I was inspired by the greys and peach colours I've seen used together recently. I think they look really pretty together.
I think this will be a nice summery necklace.

Jacket
I decided recently that I would attempt something a little more challenging. I am always looking for a good challenge.
I often make clothes- skirts, dresses etc, but this time I wanted to take on something a little more difficult. Soooo I found a pattern for a jacket that I could print off at home. I made the pattern up, did a trial run in some old fabric and then went for it.
And here is the result and I am really happy with it, turned out really nice and I even wore it out today :).
Cute little Bear
Just finished this new little cute bear.
I made him from some reclaimed fabric and buttons. I even stuffed him with some old jumper fabric I had. A good deal of recycling going on there.
Happy with him, looks young and mischievious!!

I can make these in different colours and fabrics and even make you a commisioned one, I could also make you a bear from a fabric you already own, just send me along the fabric and I'll send you back a cute little bear! :)

Bag
I have just finished off this bag.
I just made it from this pattern at Noodle head:
http://noodleheads.blogspot.com/2010/01/tutorial-messenger-bag-from-cargo-pants.html
I am very happy with it too. I made it from an old pair of trousers and an old shirt. Was a little fidlly in parts, but turned out brilliant, so happy. And now I have a new summer bag! Just waiting for summer now...
Roll on sunshine (and warmth).

Peg Bag
I recently made this peg bag for my Mum for mother's day. It's made from recycled fabrics, that were once curtains and pillow cases and other bits and pieces I've kept for those 'you never know when it might come in handy' times.
I'm quite happy with it. I used my sewing machine to sew on the little clothes and washing line and it turned out ok.

This pendant was made from aluminium sheet. I drew the design on in marker, then cut with a piercing saw, filed and sanded to finish.
